Even though Justin and Toni are Michigan fans, they were really sweet people to photograph! :D  All kidding aside, we had a great time exploring downtown Archbold–until the rain came in.  I thought it was sweet they wanted to include the entire family for their engagement session.  Ollie and Percy were a handful and were just as much work as photographing two year olds.  Just as I would get everyone in place and ready to snap a picture, they would start picking on each other.  Typical brothers!  I’m counting down the days until your fall wedding!  Congrats guys!  P.S. GO BUCKS!

I love this shot!  You guys are too cute!

I just love the looks on Ollie and Percy’s faces!  Priceless

They had enough by this point

I was overly excited when Monica called and asked me to shoot her wedding!  Monica and I met  seven years ago when we started the dental hygiene program.  Now, when you are forced to spend two solid years with a large group of people, it is likely you will make some life long friendships.  We have one of those friendships.  Monica is a true gem and it’s an adventure every time we hang out.  I’m excited to document her marriage to Greg in a few months. Congrats guys, I seriously can’t wait!

P.S. You have to check out the pictures and story about the gorilla below!

Monica + Greg

We started our session at the Toledo Zoo.  As we walked around, we made are way to the gorilla exibit.  The dominate one was walking around and seemed worked up and upset about something.  As he made his way right in front of our area, I started taking pictures.  I was shooting with just natural light because I didn’t want to bother any other people around us with my flash.

The gorilla started to walk away so I asked Monica and Greg to kiss.

In the time it took me to turn my camera horizontally for the next shot, the gorilla decided to charge our way and body slam the glass right in front of us!  I started screaming and ran—leaving poor Monica and Greg behind.  Monica started to scream and they both ran even though they had no clue what was going on since they were busy and had eyes closed.  All they heard was me screaming and an extremely LOUD thud.  We laughed soo hard about it all.  We still can’t figure out what set him off.

We then found a carnival and had to stop!

Then it was off to the docks for dinner and a beautiful sunset

It was great hanging out with Zach and Megan looking for places to shoot.  It took a while, but I got to see how much in love they are and how adorable they are together.  This was my first official session with my new camera n lens, and it did take some time to get used to.  Megan, I’m having a hard time narrowing these down, but I know you guys will love them!!

Zach’s one request–a few pictures with the bike

Countdown to the big day!

When Sara told me she wanted her engagement pictures in the snow, I warned her  it would be hard to plan.

We settled on a date for a month later and would just hope for the best. As the weeks got closer,

I starting to think we would never get snow. Just 2 days before our shoot,

we just happened to get our first official snowfall of the year!

Wow, talk about luck. We had a great time shooting in it even though it was cold.

Good luck guys and I can’t wait for the BIG day  :D

I was honored when Sarah choose me to be her wedding photographer! I shot her senior pictures and worked with her on a few other projects so to photograph her wedding means a lot to me.   After a few minutes with Justin, I soon found out what a perfect pair they are. Congrats you guys and I can’t wait until the big day! :D
